Why Muddy Marsupial? Why rorajoey?
Let's start with "rora". That comes from the word Aurora, which was the name of a MUD where I used to hang out quite a bit.
The "joey" part comes from a gathering of people from a different MUD called Dragon. (Yes, online geeks do gather face-to-face at times). One of the people there remarked that I bore some resemblance to Joey Ramone (of the Ramones). So when it came time to choose a character name for Aurora, I went with Joey.
And when it came time for me to start creating online personas at social networking sites, I went with RoraJoey.
